Clinical Tip: Smoothing the path to testicular palpation

When palpating for retracted or undescended testes, apply a small amount of lubricating jelly along the inguinal area. The jelly makes it easier to slide your finger down the groin area into the scrotal sac and palpate for the undescended testicle in the inguinal canal.
