A guide to help overweight status in children.
The numbers are staggering! About one in three children are overweight, and are at risk for becoming overweight or obese adults. It's time that parents take some simple steps to keep children healthy.

-If you suspect your child is overweight, see your pediatrician. There are new strategies he or she may use to determine if your child is overweight, and to manage the problem.
-Realize that ignoring the problem will not make it go away. Once your child's abnormal eating and exercise habits are corrected with your efforts and those of your pediatrician, your child will benefit tremendously from a new healthy lifestyle!
