The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have launched a Web site to help prepare for this year's flu season.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has launched an influenza Web site for health care practitioners and patients in preparation for the upcoming flu season.

Important information is offered on flu vaccination‚ infection control‚ prevention‚ treatment‚ and diagnosis. Educational outreach materials targeting specific high-risk groups such as parents of infants‚ parents of children with asthma and diabetes‚ and childcare providers are available in English and Spanish. All materials reflect current ACIP recommendations.

The CDC encourages users to revisit the site as the flu season progresses for late-season materials‚ and especially for National Influenza Vaccination Week‚ which will run from November 27 to December 3‚ 2007. For more information, visit www.cdc.gov/flu/.
