Product: Bionix Cerumen Removal

This year it has introduced three new products. The disposable Articulating Safe Ear Curette features an integrated slider mechanism to carefully move the spoon-tip of the curette. I like the control the curette provides, and it is definitely an improvement over standard curettes.

Also new is the OtoClear Spray Wash Kit, an ear irrigation spray bottle system. The spray bottle attaches to an OtoClear irrigation speculum to irrigate cerumen plugs from the ear canal. The water flows at the walls of the ear canal rather than the tympanic membrane, and is quite effective at removing cerumen. Since the spray bottle system has a standard luer lock connector, it can also be used with plastic butterfly or IV catheter tips.
