Welcome to this Contemporary Pediatrics quiz! This time, we're testing your knowledge of the 2023 to 2024 influenza recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

The AAP states that children consistently have the highest attack rates of influenza during seasonal influenza epidemics. Those with certain underlying medical conditions and those that are under 5 years of age can experience substantial morbidity, including severe or fatal complications, from influenza infection.

According to the recommendations report, vaccination coverage "continued to lag" during the 2022 to 2023 influenza season, with 55.1% of children up to 17 years of age having received vaccination through April 15, 2023.

Test your knowledge of the 2023 to 2024 influenza prevention and control recommendations from the AAP below:

What is the recommended age group for routine influenza vaccination according to the 2023-2024 recommendations?
