Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary, Canada, has isolated one of its units due to three swine flu cases, according to health officials.

Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary, Canada, has isolated one of its units due to three swine flu cases, according to health officials.

Following confirmation of one staff member and two children contracting swine flu, no new patients are being admitted to the unit, which usually administers treatment to patients with kidney conditions, a spokesperson with Alberta Health Services reported.

Those patients currently in the unit have been isolated and are only allowed visits by parents or close family.

Alberta has 1,000 confirmed cases of swine flu to date. The World Health Organization has declared influenza A(H1N1) a global pandemic. Over 70 countries are reporting outbreaks of the virus
